Companies convert interim agreement into definitive agreement

LOWELL, Mass., Feb. 8 -- ZipLink, Inc. (Nasdaq: ZIPL), a provider of national wholesale Internet connectivity in the United States and Canada, today announced that it has signed a national connectivity agreement with NetZero, Inc. (Nasdaq: NZRO), the nation's largest provider of free Internet access based on numbered of registered users. ZipLink has been supporting NetZero's traffic needs since it signed an interim agreement with NetZero in September 1999. The interim agreement called for the parties to complete a definitive agreement for NetZero to utilize ZipLink's national Internet connectivity. Under the terms of the definitive agreement, ZipLink will continue to provide NetZero with wholesale Internet connectivity in several major U.S. markets.
